Beverage Server

 

Has at least 1 year of current, full-time experience in a high-volume bar or cocktail lounge, a solid knowledge of international alcohol brands, American style cocktails, tropical cocktails, various glassware and garnishes, and an outgoing personality with a talent for up selling.

 

Quick Job Facts

As a Beverage Server, you will:

  • Provide friendly and efficient service in cocktail lounges, tropical deck bars, cafes, fast-paced nightclubs and Castaway Cay beaches
  • Practice up selling and suggestive selling techniques
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of areas to meet United States Public Health (USPH) standards
  • Work with a diverse team of 975 Crew Members (60 on the Beverage Team) of over 50 nationalities
  • Learn the finer details about dozens of cocktails, wines, spirits and beers
 

Pay Day

You will be in a tipped position. Disney Cruise Line adds 15% gratuity to every Guest beverage check.

Additional gratuity may be added for exceptional service. The higher your sales, the more you will earn! While on contract, DCL will provide medical care, disability and death benefits. In a tipped position, you are responsible for your joining flight. DCL will provide subsequent flights.
 

Home Sweet Home
You will share a small yet functional cabin with 1 or 2 additional Crew Members (of the same gender) possibly from another culture. Cabins are complete with a TV/DVD player, wireless Internet at a reduced rate, a personal lockable storage space and beverage cooler. Phone service is available in cabin, in port and via a pre-paid cellular service. DCL provides room, board and meals.

When Your're Not Working
While you will not have a whole day off, you will have time off during your day to rest or have a little fun – email family/friends, hang out at the Crew Deck or Crew Beach on Castaway Cay, join a soccer or volleyball game or explore a port of call.
